How to Play Shaadi Seating

Seat the wedding guests without a fight. The ultimate desi puzzle.

▶ Play Shaadi Seating free

Shaadi Seating is a logic puzzle about the most political job at any Indian wedding: the seating plan. Guests queue up and you place them on chairs around one to four round tables. Each guest has demands. A couple must sit side by side, feuding relatives must not, Dadaji wants an end seat, a friend wants to face the stage, and a veg table cannot host a non-veg eater. Seat everyone, press Baraat, and the sweep checks each table.

Every level is generated backwards from a valid arrangement, so a solution always exists. Levels scale from 3 guests on one table to 18 across four, with constraint density rising through the Mehndi, Sangeet and Reception packs. It is a calm tap-to-place puzzle with a par time, three fixes when things go wrong, and a three-star rating for clean, hint-free seating.

Controls

How to play, step by step

  1. Pick a level from a pack; each unlocks after the previous one.
  2. Read every guest's demand tag before placing anyone.
  3. Seat the strictest demands first: end seats and stage-facing chairs are limited, then place couples on adjacent pairs.
  4. Fill the rest, keeping feuding pairs non-adjacent or on different tables as their tag says.
  5. Press Baraat. Any squabbles put you in fix mode, where each reseat costs one of three fixes, then press Baraat again.
  6. No fixes left means a Food Fight: watch an ad for two more, or let them fight and finish with one star.

Frequently asked questions

Is every level solvable?

Yes. The generator seats all guests validly first and derives the constraints from that arrangement.

What happens when fixes run out?

A Food Fight starts. Watch an ad for two extra fixes, or let them fight and finish the level with one star.

Which chairs are end seats and stage-facing?

Each table has a gap facing the stage. The chairs beside that gap are end seats; the chair or pair directly opposite faces the stage.

How do I get three stars?

Finish with a clean Baraat sweep, use zero hints, and beat the par time shown on the results card.
