How to Play Super Cricket
Side-on timing batting: sixes, shattered stumps, bouncers vs pulls. Chase or ALL OUT leaderboard.
Super Cricket is a side-on timing batting game in the stick cricket tradition. The bowler runs in, the ball arrives, and you have a short window to tap one of four shot buttons. Time it perfectly and the ball flies for four or six; time it late or early and you scramble singles or lose your wicket. The perspective view lets you read the length of every delivery.
It is built for quick sessions on a phone: a chase takes three overs. What makes this version different is the honest shot logic. A perfect strike is never punished, a grounded shot is never caught, and a lofted shot is always six or out, so the decision is yours on every ball.
Controls
- Touch: tap DRIVE on the LEG or OFF side for a grounded shot, or the SIX button above it to loft.
- Keyboard: Left Arrow or A drives to leg, Right Arrow or D drives to off.
- Hold Shift or press Up Arrow with a direction to loft; Q lofts to leg and E lofts to off.
- You can arm a shot early: tap before the ball is live and it fires at the front of the good window.
How to play, step by step
- Choose Play The Chase (3 overs, 3 wickets, chase a target) or Super Over (6 balls, 2 wickets, score as many as possible).
- Watch the delivery label: Friendly, Pace, Express, Bouncer, Yorker, Spinner or Slower. Each changes where and when the ball arrives.
- Pick a side. Leg or off does not change the runs, but it decides which fielders are in the way.
- Tap DRIVE for a safe shot worth 1 to 4 runs, or LOFT for a six-or-out gamble.
- Hit perfect timing and the strike goes into a gap: four for a drive, six for a loft.
Rules and scoring
- Five career teams with rising targets: Gully Dogs (34), City Strikers (46), Coastal Kings (58), Continental XI (70), Immortals XI (84). Beat one to unlock the next.
- A chase gives you 18 balls and 3 wickets. Bowled or caught ends the wicket; three wickets or 18 balls ends the innings.
- Grounded drives are never caught; a mistimed drive gives 1 to 2 runs or a stopped ball.
- Lofted shots either clear the rope for six or are caught in the deep, depending on timing and fielder placement.
Tips to score higher
- Drive the yorker. It skids in at boot height and a loft almost never gets the elevation.
- Pull or duck a bouncer: the ball arrives head high, so a grounded drive is your safest run.
- Slower balls and spin dip late. Wait an extra beat instead of swinging on the run-up rhythm.
- Loft only when the required rate forces it, or when you have spare wickets in the last over.
- Perfect timing is never punished, so practise the green zone in Super Over before attempting the higher tiers.
Modes and challenges
- Play The Chase: 3 overs, 3 wickets, five-team career ladder, coins on a win.
- Super Over: 6 balls, 2 wickets, pure run scoring for the leaderboard and personal best.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I keep getting caught on a good-looking shot?
Lofted shots that are only good rather than perfect can be intercepted by a deep fielder. Check where the fielders are standing and hit to the other side, or drive along the ground when the field is packed.
What is the pressure gauge?
In a chase it compares your score with par for the balls used and shows the required run rate. When it turns red you are behind and need boundaries, and the crowd and vignette ramp up with it.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Arrow keys or A and D drive, Shift or Up Arrow lofts, and Q and E are direct loft shortcuts.
How do I unlock Immortals XI?
Win chases in order. Each victory on your highest tier unlocks the next team.
