Crown Circuit is an original browser combat racing game. Race three laps against five computer-controlled rivals, collecting pickups and protecting your car while trying to finish first.
Choose one of three tracks and Rookie or Sport pace. Steering assist follows the bends until you steer yourself, so you can learn a track before driving it manually. The previous Mad Race arena has been retired.
Controls
- The car accelerates automatically. Use Left/Right arrows or A/D to steer; Down or S brakes.
- Press Space to use your current pickup. On a phone, use the on-screen steering, brake and pickup buttons.
- Press P or Escape, or tap Pause, to pause. Resume continues the race; Restart starts it over.
How to play, step by step
- Choose a track, pace and whether to use steering assist, then press Start race.
- Wait for the countdown. Follow the road and pass the checkpoints in order.
- Collect pickups and watch your car condition. Use repairs when damaged and your weapon when a rival is in reach.
- Complete three laps. Compare your finish position and personal best time, then retry or choose another track.
Rules and scoring
- There are six cars: you and five bots. This game does not use online multiplayer rooms.
- All checkpoints must be passed in order. Cutting across the infield does not complete a lap.
- Driving on the verge slows the car. A wreck repairs automatically with a time penalty.
- Rockets and mines damage cars; shields block damage, green repairs restore condition, and nitro provides a short boost.
- Finishing awards 5–30 virtual coins. These are game points with no cash value.
Tips to score higher
- Start with Rookie pace and steering assist to learn each corner.
- Brake before a tight turn instead of running onto the verge. A clean racing line often saves more time than a risky shortcut.
- Use nitro on straights where you can control the extra speed.
- Watch the pickup label and your condition meter. A repair can be more useful than another attack.
- Try the same track again with assist off when you are comfortable; compare your personal best.

Crown Circuit races against five bots. For online rooms with friends, choose Ludo, Chess or another game from the multiplayer collection.
Why did cutting across the track not count as a lap?
The game checks that you pass checkpoints in order. Return to the road and complete the route.
Is this the 2008 Windows Mad Race game?
Crown Circuit is an original browser game inspired by the combat-racing genre. It does not contain the Windows game or its artwork.
