How to Play City Dash
Endless runner. Jump, slide, grab coins and power-ups.
City Dash is a side-scrolling endless runner. Your runner sprints automatically and speeds up over time; you handle the jumps and slides. Barriers need a jump, overhead signs need a slide, and coin arcs reward you for taking the high line. The city changes as you run: Neon City gives way to Sunset Rooftops, then Rainy Downtown and Cyber Docks every 360 metres.
Distance is the score, and every run starts with one free hit thanks to a shield. Two power-ups appear on the road: a magnet that pulls coins toward you and wings that allow a second jump in mid-air. A daily distance goal, a day streak and five unlockable runners give you reasons to keep coming back beyond just beating your best.
Controls
- Touch: tap to jump; swipe down to slide. On-screen JUMP and SLIDE buttons also work.
- Desktop: Space, Up or W to jump; Down or S to slide.
- With wings active, tap again in the air for a double jump.
- Swiping down right after takeoff cancels the hop into a slide; swiping while airborne queues a slide on landing.
How to play, step by step
- Pick a runner and tap RUN.
- Jump barriers; slide under the green overhead signs.
- Collect coin lines and arcs; several in a row build a coin combo.
- Grab the magnet to pull coins or the wings to double jump.
- Your first collision only stumbles you and removes the shield; the second ends the run.
- Reach the daily goal for bonus coins and a streak, then run again.
Rules and scoring
- Speed rises to a cap; obstacle gaps scale with speed.
- Every run starts with one shield. A shielded hit stumbles you; an unshielded hit ends the run.
- Barriers need a jump, signs need a slide, coin arcs reward a jump.
- Magnet widens the coin pickup radius for a few seconds; wings allow one extra jump while active.
- New best distance pays 20 coins plus 1 per 25 metres, capped at 60.
- Daily goal is 100 to 250 m by date and pays 15 to 60 coins depending on streak.
- Runners unlock by best distance: Nova 150 m, Blaze 300 m, Volt 500 m, Aura 800 m.
Tips to score higher
- Slide early; the slide lasts a fixed time and signs are unforgiving.
- Barrier then sign: tap to jump, then swipe down at once. The early swipe becomes a slide.
- Protect the shield; it cannot be found again during the run.
- Coin arcs mark a jump that is always clear. Follow the arc.
- With the magnet active, run straight through ground coin lines instead of jumping for arcs.
- Play the daily goal first; the streak reward grows each consecutive day up to 60 coins.
Modes and challenges
- Endless run through four biomes: Neon City, Sunset Rooftops, Rainy Downtown and Cyber Docks, repeating.
- Daily goal with a day streak, paid in coins on the run that achieves it.
- Five runners (Dash, Nova, Blaze, Volt, Aura) unlocked by best distance and chosen from the home screen.
Frequently asked questions
Why did I not die on my first crash?
Every run starts with a shield, shown as a ring. It turns one hit into a stumble; after that any hit ends the run.
How do I slide right after a jump?
Swipe down while still rising in the first fraction of a second and the jump converts into a slide. Later in the air, the swipe queues a slide for landing.
What do magnet and wings do?
Magnet pulls coins to you for a few seconds. Wings let you tap once more in mid-air for a second jump while active.
How are runners unlocked?
By best distance: 150 m Nova, 300 m Blaze, 500 m Volt, 800 m Aura. The unlock shows on the wipeout screen.
