How to Play Virar Fast
Hang off a packed Mumbai local. Lean, dodge the poles, survive rush hour.
Virar Fast puts you on the footboard of a packed Mumbai local, one hand on the pole, riding from Churchgate towards Virar on the Western Line. Hold to lean out and your unbanked points climb; the deeper you hang, the faster they grow. Release and you swing back inside, safe but earning almost nothing. Poles, signal gantries and oncoming trains flash past, each with a lean angle you can survive.
The twist is banking. Points earned while leaning are unbanked and burn away if you get caught. At each of 29 stations you get a short window to tuck in and bank them, which also resets your multiplier. Keep riding without tucking and the multiplier compounds towards 9.9x. It is push-your-luck dressed as a train ride.
Controls
- Touch: press and hold anywhere to lean out. Let go to swing back in.
- Desktop: hold Space, Right Arrow or L to lean; release to tuck in.
- At a station, keep your lean under 10 degrees for about one second to bank.
- Tap the character row on the home screen to switch unlocked skins.
How to play, step by step
- Tap Catch The Local. The train leaves Churchgate and a hold hint appears.
- Hold to lean. Past 40 degrees is the deep zone where the multiplier grows fastest.
- Release before each hazard reaches you. Poles allow 30 degrees of lean, gantries 13, passing trains 24.
- Skimming a hazard without a hit is a near miss and pays a 150-point bonus scaled by your multiplier.
- As a station approaches, a Tuck In To Bank ring appears. Stay tucked one second to move unbanked points into your score.
- Or ignore the station and keep the multiplier rolling. You have three lives to gamble with.
Rules and scoring
- Only banked points count. Unbanked points are lost if you die before the next bank.
- The multiplier grows past 22 degrees of lean, much faster past 40, and bleeds away while you play safe. It caps at 9.9x and resets when you bank.
- A hit costs one of three lives. Speed rises 7.5 percent per segment; stations 5 to 9 are rush hour, 14 onwards is a night run.
- Coins: a ride with one bank and 800 banked points pays 20 to 60. The daily target station pays 40 once. Skins cost 300, 600 and 1200.
Tips to score higher
- Learn the three clearance angles. A pole is survivable at medium lean; a gantry means a full tuck.
- Listen for the horn. Oncoming trains warn 1.6 seconds early and close at more than double your speed.
- Bank every second station early. Two thousand unbanked points at Dadar are worth zero if you are caught at Matunga.
- Near misses are the best points. Lean just under the clearance angle rather than tucking fully.
- Do not hover at 15 degrees; the multiplier decays there. Commit past 40 or tuck to bank.
- Ride shallower on the night run from station 14, where poles appear late out of the dark.

Frequently asked questions
Why was my score zero when I had thousands of points?
Those points were unbanked. Only points banked at a station count, and the results screen shows how much you burned.
How do I bank?
As the train slows, release so lean drops under 10 degrees and stay tucked one second. Unbanked points move to your score and the multiplier resets.
Can I survive a hit?
Yes, you have three lives with brief invulnerability after each hit. The third hit ends the ride.
Does the line end?
Yes. Virar is station 29. Reaching it finishes the ride and everything banked is your score.
